Jimmy Johansson – The new year starts in Dubai!
After some well needed time back home doing allmost nothing over christams it´s now a new year, and that meens new challenges.
After the Final in hockenheim we have worked hard and everyday we get closer to get something together for next season. At the moment the details are not sorted out and we need some more time before we pressent the challenge we are up to in 2009.
Right now the only thing I know is that we will start the year with a REALLY big challenge… Together with Team A sweden I will tomorrow leave to Dubai to participate in the TOYO Tires 24H Race of Dubai. We will start with the golf wich Volkswagen Motorsport won the SP3T class in the 24H race at Nürburgring in 2007, so the car is prepaired and trained. The team is allso well prepaired with many years of endurance racing experience and allso some experience from the race in Dubai. But some people, including the other two drivers, have no experience from a 24H race so it will be a challenge but as I said, we are well prepaired and will do all we can to achieve a good result!
I don´t know how the possibillities are for internet connection “down there” but I think it will be no problem and I will try to update the homepage during the weeken, and specially during the race wich starts at 14:00 Local time!
