I’ve always hated the off season from racing! I find myself twiddling my thumbs not knowing what to do, more so this year as the car is still damaged.
However I still have my kart and decided it would be a laugh to go to PFI Kart Track on a practice day.
It was very cold but the racing atmosphere was still there and it gave me such a buzz! Read the rest of this entry »
As you can read in the following official press release, I wont be racing in NZL and Indonesia.
Off course I’m also disappointed that I can’t be there and race with these fantastic cars in a far away country I have never been in. I really would have loved to be there and represent my country, push real hard and enjoy driving the Ferrari! But it’s ok, I understand the situation, I stay very motivated and as long as I’m part of it for a longer term from the point we start, I am fine with it! Now, my next plans are to go back to Japan at the end of the month for the upcoming Super GT tests in Fuji. Read the rest of this entry »
All prepaired for race!
After a long trip down and a short nights sleep we went to the track and unloaded the container and went to the scrutineering to have everything prepaired in time. It was a fantastic day, amazing scenery, bright sunshine! Great to fill yourself up with plenty of energy! When you experience nature like that, you realise that in these places the world is still fine I guess… Walking up to the Potsdamer chalet at 2020m ( www.potsdamer.at ) took just under 2 hours and down with the sledge for 30 min, great fun! bit cold -14 at the top… But it was no problem with good clothes and enough movement.

The fifth race of the season was also the highlight of the season: the Norisring in Nuernberg. A great, narrow street track, 140,000 fans and at the same time the finals of the European football championship – when I think back it was a great experience. I decided to wear a special helmet for this race showing the design of a football, in order to support the German team in the final against Spain. Read the rest of this entry »

A few weeks ago I was out here in America doing my first ever test in an Indy Lights car at Sebring in Florida, and my first test with my new team for 2009, Panther Racing. I flew back to Europe for my last World Series race with P1 Motorsport, and then came back to America where I will now be until Thanksgiving at the end of November. Last week, a couple of days after arriving back, I got on a plane and went back down to Florida for my next test with Panther Racing – this time however it would be a little different to anything I had ever done before. This time I was going to running for the first time ever on an oval. Read the rest of this entry »
After finishing third in the previous race i worked out that i just needed a finish to come 3rd in the championship, and due to the throttle cable snapping in qualifying i was at the back anyway so as far as i was concerned the only way was forward. Read the rest of this entry »
